Introducing Our New High Technology Shot

Nitro Mega-Weight
Turkey, Goose, Duck, and Predator

We always want the best possible ammunition for our customers. Acquiring the newest and most advanced technology components along with our research and development are a few ways that we can ensure we create superior ammunition. Therefore, we are extremely excited to introduce our new Nitro Mega-Weight shot. This is a tungsten based shot with copper/tin (bronze) and iron that is 13% denser than lead. Imagine, long range tight pattern performance with 15% more down range energy than anything we have offered before. Even though this shot is a bit softer and easier on barrels than hevi-shot®, we will be using a special formula coating on the shot to ensure protection of your barrel. Since this is an environmentally friendly, non toxic shot, it has been Federally approved for waterfowl hunting.

Nitro Mega-Weight will be available in the following shot sizes: T, BB, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7.5 (as well as duplex and triplex sizes)

Duck & Goose Loads will be available around October 1, 2011

Turkey & Predator Loads will be available by January 1, 2012

Nitro Chokes

Our research and development department has been working this summer on many different projects this year. One of those projects was to develop our own choke tube for optimum performance by creating the tightest center density patterns at longer distances. We have created this choke with a long parallel and unique porting design to stop the wad and reduce recoil. These chokes are being made from heat treated 7-14 steel that will extend 2" out of each shotgun.

These chokes will be made for turkey, deer, goose, duck, predator hunting, and tactical.

If all goes well, we hope to have these chokes available for goose and duck hunting sometime in October 2011.

We will let you know when the buckshot chokes will be available.

Turkey and predator chokes will be available by January 2012

Indian Creek Choke Testing Results

We have done some testing with the Indian Creek Chokes. We are posting some of the results, however, we are still testing more chokes and guns. We have tried a variety of constrictions and have posted the best results from each gun that was tested. Please note that this does not mean that we recommend these chokes for each of these guns. We will not be making recommendations until all testing is done.

All Testing and results were shot at 40 yards and we counted pellets in a 10" circle.

20 GA. 3"

As many of you may know, we have had an extremely difficult time trying to get 20ga. hulls. We have now acquired and tested new hulls with our H276C and 2076C (1 7/16oz) ammunition. The new Cheddite hulls shoot even better than the Federal hulls that we were using.

H517T 12ga. 3.5" Hevi-Shot

We have also started loading the H517 in a new improved hull made by Fiocchi that has a harder plastic and a magnum primer. They are loaded identical to the H517 loads - just in a different hull. Both loads shoot the same in all of our testing.

NEW LOADS - 2008

We have been in the process of developing some new loads for the 12ga. 3.5" shotgun. We have three new loads that are now available. Check our patterning page to see which load works best with your gun.

H517 - 2 7/16 oz. 1,200 fps is an incredible new load, but the recoil is just as devastating. This throws a wicked pattern. The guns that shoot this load reach pellet counts of 280 to 320 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards, with the recommended choke.

H51013A - 2 1/4 oz. 1,200 fps is an updated version of our popular H51013. This load has the same great patterns as our H51013, with ease of cycling in each gun.

H510C - 2 1/4 oz. 1.240 fps patterns like our H51013A, yet has added velocity for harder hitting.

All of our new loads are throwing unbelievable patterns and cycle through any gun we have shot.

NEW 20ga. 3" Hevi-Shot® Turkey Load

Nitro Ray does it again!! He has created a new 20ga. 3" (Item H276) 1-7/16 oz. 1,200 fps hevi-shot® turkey load that gives patterns never before seen with a 20ga. shotgun. If I didn't see him shoot the load myself, I wouldn't believe it. Here are some of the awesome results based on an average of a multitude of shots.

Nitro Ray is developing a new 12ga. 3" (Item #H378I) 1-7/8 oz. 1,200 fps Hevi-Shot® turkey load. Available in 4x5x7 and 4x5x6 Hevi-Shot®. We are currently still testing this load. Listed are some of the early results that we are getting. We have many more guns and chokes to test, but this will give you an idea of our accomplishments with this new load.

The chokes listed are the three that have shown the best patterns out of those guns. We still need to test the Jelly Head .660 to get more of a comparison as well as trying a bigger diameter in the other chokes. As I stated earlier, these are just preliminary results to let you know the types of patterns that we are getting. We will keep you updated on new testing results as we go.

We will also be developing a new Predator Loads for 12ga. 3" & 3.5"
