A First Bird Harvest!

Shayna Filogomo, 9 year old daughter of Nitro Ray and Shotgun Sandy, harvested her first bird on Mother's Day this year.  What a beautiful Jake!  The bird weighed 17 pounds and had a nice 6" beard.

Shayna shot the bird with her Charles Daly 20ga. 3" using a 1 oz. load of #4x5x7 hevi-shotŪ that grounded him flawlessly.

Tickled pink with her first kill,  she has quite the grin as she hoists the bird
over her shoulders for an awesome pic.

Another limbhanger taken by Nitro Ray.

Congratulations on a wonderful gobbler!!

Frank Cox of Memphis, TN called in his biggest bird of the 2004 season with his trumpet call that got him in to about 15 yards.  Thank goodness he pulled his shot to the side a little or the Nitro Ammo would have decapitated him.  The spurs were almost 1-1/4" and had an 11" beard.  He harvested this bird with his left-handed Benelli SBE 12ga. 3.5" using Nitro H51013 2-1/4oz. #4x5x7 hevi-shotŪ with a .660 choke.
